STAYING POSITIVE

Prasadi, is a middle-aged woman, from a village in Sawai Madhopur. What distinguishes her from the rest is the childlike wonder and positivity that adorns her wrinkled face. Behind this happy face is a story of struggle and hardship.

Prasadi lost her husband four years ago. She had never worked outside her home and didn't have any skill that could help her get a job. She was forced to pull one of her daughters out of school as she couldn’t afford the fees. Prasadi was in desperate need of employment and that is when PDKF brought hope in her life. She quickly learnt various tasks at the Sawai Madhopur center.

PDKF helped her put her children through school and she has got her eldest daughter married. She is no longer depended on her relatives for financial help and is capable to give a good life to her children. Her weak eyesight hasn't stopped her from working for the Foundation to the best of her capacity and she handles the daily logistics at the center.

She says, coming to the Foundation keeps her going on. If you ever visit our center in Sawai Madhopur, make sure you meet Prasadi and see for yourself how much PDKF means to her while she cheerfully takes you around the center.
